The HapticWalker has been built by the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in order to help stroke patients re-learn walking. However, it is more a research prototype than a usable product.
The aim of my project was to transform it into a high-touch rehabilitation device for the use in hospitals.
A profound analysis of the therapy-process, its context and the patient‘s and therapist‘s problems led to an easier and more ergonomic access and reduction in size.
