This product is an attachable strainer used to strain pasta. By having an attachable strainer, the amount of steps to strain the pasta is reduced. There is no longer a need to get the strainer, place it in the sink, pour the pasta into the strainer, and then pour the pasta back into the pot. The target market for my design was people with hand disabilities, like arthritis. When interviewing a woman with arthritis, I found that repetitive motions can be very painful and there is a great loss of strength. It is very important that she could use both hands whenever necessary to do any heavy lifting. This was very influential to my design. The product simplifies the straining process and enhances user interaction with the product by giving the user more control over the product.
