BRIEF- PART 1: You are to create a 3-Dimensional composition in white card. The theme is to be "Thirst". The method of working should favour discovery or form by dialogue with the materials and process.
PART 2: Revisit the Brio project and develop the work from concept to product into a contemporary design.
The idea behind part 1 of this project was waves within the sea building up and up until they are uncontainable.
The waves begin slow and soft with curved and smooth shapes. They gradually get bigger and stronger as shown by tall and sharp shapes.
From part 1, I transformed my idea into a sculptural light. The light is made from glass with a mirrored part to it. This allows the light to be reflected into different direction, alike how the sunlight reflects off waves. The glass also gives the light a crisp edge, mimicking the force of the wave.
