Peel Corset
The idea behind this piece was to challenge myself creatively and technically, and boy did I succeed! This corset is made using 9 yards of steel boning, 18 yards of copper wire, 240 hand-installed grommets, an entire spool of cording, 5 yards of twill fabric, and three bottles of acrylic paint! And blood, sweat, and tears, of course! This was featured at the Studio 261 Fashion Show in Boston in May of 2013, and again at a Wearable Art show at Copley Center in Boston in October of 2013.
