"Mechanimal” Illustration and Poster
For my second Illustration Survey project, we had to combine an animal with a machine to create what the instructor called a “Mechanimal,” and create a Victorian-style illustration and poster centered around this creation. After experimenting with several different combinations, I eventually settled upon a combination of a pug and a Volkswagen Bus. The initial illustration was sketched and inked on paper, then scanned, shaded, and given further detail in Photoshop CC. Once completed, this illustration was then placed in a Victorian-style poster, which I created in Illustrator CC.
