Wireframes for CPIP

A wireframe is a design deliverable that provides a design structure (or information
architecture) without necessarily taking into account a visual design or branding. Creation of wireframes is usually the first attempt at shaping what will become the user experience. Wireframes should only be started after research has been done and a strategy has been developed. Wireframes are meant to be a communication tool for the design team to show-and-tell a client what the suggested design should look like or include. Once wireframes are agreed upon by the information architect, designer, and client they are given to the designer/programmer of the site so that they can create the final version of the designed site. High-fidelity wireframes are part of the process of designing a web site in that you can run usability tests on them much like working prototypes. By doing so, you can follow an iterative process of designing then testing and redesigning as needed.
