Caribou Detailed Version - With this particular project we were asked to do three versions of an animal. We needed to created the animal using only the pen tool in Adobe illustrator. The three versions went from most detailed to most simplified and were created by first making a black silhouette and then adding blocks of white on top, almost like a stencil. This version is the most detailed of the three. It was created the second semester of my sophomore year (my current semester). Created with Adobe illustrator.

Caribou Less Detailed Version - Some of the more noticeable details such as the hair on the legs begin to fade away in this more simplified version. Yet some remain to keep the details somewhat held together. This the second in the sequence. It was created the second semester of my sophomore year (my current semester). Caribou Simplified Version - This version is the most simplified of the three. It's my personal favorite in the group and I'm very happy with the way it came out. I removed all of the hair to give it a smooth streamline feel. My goal was to make the most simplified version as close to a stencil as possible while still retaining the composition. It was created the second semester of my sophomore year (my current semester). Created using Adobe illustrator.
