Early Concepts Pattern transferred to metal sheet Grindin' - Cutting out template Rolled & Ready - Steel forms rolled, spot welded together and ready for reinforcement Mold ready! - Metal form reinforced with OSB Veneer Composition Breakdown - 21 layers of veneer. Seam Scheme - Overlapping seams are unacceptable so 5 configurations were devised for each leg 5 configurations for each leg Ugh. - It took almost 3 (long) days to cut all of the veneer. Getting there.... 21 Layers! The fun part. The fun continues... In the bag and ready for baking! - This was a glorious moment. Out of the bag... - She looks a little rough but she's solid! Crunch - This was to be expected. No worries- it will be cut off. Giving the chair a trim - This is when all the gnarly bits come off.
