Because I live in Atlanta I couldn't help but pay tribute to Delta Airlines.
American Dreams. I shot the buildings here in Georgia and the cars separately at an auto graveyard. Looking at the cars inspired me to think about how many people experienced travel in those vehicles over the many years of existence.
Abandoned Dreams. What it must have been like to experience those days of American industrial might. I took the shot of the Caddy in an auto graveyard and created the scene around it.
Nothing is Forever. I took the shot of this car at an auto graveyard. There were approximately 700 cars going on the auction block and I thought I better get it before its REALLY gone.
Barn Find. The Edsel probably represents the biggest nightmare that Ford ever experienced and who would have throught that they are prized by collectors today.
American Made. Nothing special, I just liked the shot that I took at the graveyard. There is something about abandoned cars that hold stories of the American lifestyle that intrigue me. Although it keeps its secrets, it also represents the pessimism that seems to prevail in America while fortunately most of us do not hold that point of view. And, like America's ability to metemorphis into something grand this too is being restored to its original grandeur.
