Gulfquest is a Maritime museum about the Gulf of Mexico completed in 2013. The people of Gulfquest came to our design studio team to design the gift shop of the museum. Each individual in our studio was to work with a partner or on their own on a section of the gift shop.
The start of the project was set in groups of four to come up with the theme of the gift shop.
My team of four came up with a shipwreck theme which was eventually chosen for the studio. Our chosen name at the time was Currents.
My logo design for our theme.
Each team presented sketches of the gift shop in their chosen theme. These are a few drawings made to get our theme across.
The first overall look of the shop after after the shipwreck theme was chosen. I drew this image to conclude our client presentation at the time to show the direction we were headed with project.
After our first client presentation we were set into groups of two. My partner Amanda Wilson and I were in charge of the look of the L-shaped wall. Each group of two was also in charge of coming up with a new name for the shop.
As the project progressed our professor split my partner and I up and gave us our own wall sections. At this point I was in charge of the look of the L-shape wall.

This is a final rendering of the shop for our clients. It was drawn by myself and rendered by teammate Arissa Wheeler. This drawing was made to show the clients a image of their future shop with each teams sections put together. It was the look right before the last altercations for the shop.
After the concept and design was finalized our team started construction on the 1/16 scale model. Most of the pieces of the model were Laser cut.
