Palmetto Trail - Sports designer Will Martin wrote a story about the Palmetto Trail for one of The Beaufort Gazette's feature sections. Fellow Copy Editor/page designer Rachel Ferguson and I created this graphic to illustrate the trail. I also was responsible for developing the headline, designing the page layouts, selecting the photos and copy editing the entire design.

busy Stearns + Sutton roads - i created this graphic to accompany a story about Bartlett, Ill., and how the intersection of Stearns and Sutton roads might get congested with the possibility of new businesses being constructed in the area for Suburban Life Publications.
bike trails serving carol stream, ill. - not only did i design the page, but i created the map, too. it was based off of several maps that were provided by the village of carol stream (which I came across on the web). it published in suburban life publications.
illinois redistricting for cook county - this is the second part of a two-part series. this particular spread ran for the Cook County papers of Suburban Life Publications. I created the maps in Illustrator and the pages are executed in InDesign. the maps only show a small portion of a larger map I executed, which covered Cook, DuPage, Kane and Will counties.
who's your illinois rep? part 1 of 2-part series - initially, i created a 1-column locator map to accompany an editorial for Suburban Life Publications about the redrawn political districts. Because there were too many details, it was decided to create a project that included the state house, state senate and congressional redistricting maps, which I developed and designed the pages.
