Whether it be a strenuous eight mile hike to the put-in, or negotiating technical climbing riverside, carrying a whitewater kayak on the shoulder is limiting boaters, strenuous, and unsafe. The design solution had to be quick and easy for short hikes and comfortable and lightweight for multi-day expeditions.
