Daktari HIV Diagnostic Device
Daktari, which means “doctor” in Swahili, was one of the most exciting programs I worked on. It offered a diagnostic technology which could change a whole system, and even culture. We also had an incredible international technical team of micro-fluidic and mechanical engineers who had something very unique. It was a pleasure to be a designer on the team, looking through a very different lens.
The technology is currently changing the way HIV is tested in Africa.
