For Vanity Fair's 2014 Oscar Party a custom structure was production designed, engineered by Jeremy Thom Designs in a sloping parking lot in Hollywood. This incorporated a guest drop-off on Sunset Blvd., a full Red Carpet (with approx 200 press), dining for 200 during the Oscars with two full kitchens for Chef Thomas Keller, indoor party space and an outdoor balcony & courtyard overlooking downtown Los Angeles. All technical facilities, bathrooms, power, etc. were on blacktop level beneath the party deck. ... JTD also oversaw the entire build process of both structure and interior decor (created by Basil Walter Architects) which was constructed in a variety of workshops in LA & New York. ... JTD also designed the traffic flow plans, along with Patriot Security, for the City & Sheriff of West Hollywood. ... It rained on & off throughout the build!!
