SAVE ads - These ads are from my time as a graphic designer at SAVE, a local & national direct mail coupon magazine. For Homewatch, I was given the color palette and images, as well as direction to show a carefree family on vacation in Paris. For the Wine Shoppe, I was given a logo and complete creative freedom, along with copy and coupon offer. Both were designed for the Minnesota market.
Indian Motorcycle Promo - Creative brief requested an 8x8 inch 2 sided brochure highlighting the anniversary edition of the Master Chief motorcycle with keychain. Highlighting Indian motorcycle history while emphasizing the new Master Chief model features.
55 West Invitation - Creative brief asked for a 5x5 inch invitation that would appeal to both 20-something young professionals and upscale retirees for new lofts in downtown Royal Oak. My creative solution was an elegant color palette, B&W logo and an uncoventional circular invitation to pique interest in the content. I felt this design reflected the avant garde and artistic appeal of Royal Oak while appealing to the affluent clientele they were hoping to reach.
Profile Magazine - Creative brief requested a professional magazine cover and table of contents with all original content. I chose to create Profile magazine, a magazine for digital portrait photographers, with an emphasis on digital children's portraiture. All photos are from various sessions I took as a freelance portrait photographer, including the main image of the Mpix ad I created.
Think Bamboo Ad - 1/4 page ad for Think Bamboo, print publication. Project Role: I created and designed this ad based on customer copy, using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Avalon Bakery Package - Creative brief requested a logo and package for Heavenly Chocolate Chip Cookies to be sold at the Avalon bakery in Detroit. My graphic solution was to use a tin to reflect the urban industrial area they were located, contrasted with earth tones and rough texture background to reflect their organic ingredients and commitment to being “green”. My design was chosen as the best out of my class by a panel of 3 judges from various Detroit advertising agencies.
Theatre Poster - Poster, program cover and ticket created on spec for Warren Civic Theatre production of Little Shop of Horrors.
Multiplication Game - Flash game designed to help 5th graders learn their multiplication tables by doing drills, shooting gallery style. Class project.
Cookie Corner Website - Website Final Project for Dreamweaver class. Created a fictional (and functional) website for bakers to exchange cookie recipes and ideas.
Appliance Interface - GE Refrigerator Flash interface designed for a GE “smart” refrigerator. Class project for Flash/CSS.
