Cincinnati Library
First, I researched the art of figuring. Figuring is a textile technique that creates a pattern that is governed by a strict set of rules. Following that, I traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to study the city and site conditions. Upon returning, I designed a library based on the city’s needs. The site location is in a poorer part of town lacking technology. The driving force of this project was the technological ramp spine that contains computers at the ends. There should be a plethora of technology available to people who cannot afford a computer on their own.
