Arts and Media Center, Emory at Oxford University Campus
The Arts and Media Center is located at the center of the historic Oxford campus, now part of Emory University. It is bordered to the East by the campus quadrangle, to the West by a nature preserve, to the South by a small chapel, and to the North by the Phi Gamma Hall, the oldest building on campus. It stems from three driving forces. First is a circulation core. Second is an emphasis on the auditorium piece by a shot-reverse shot take of the program. The third is an organization of knowledge throughout the floors beginning with the traditional form of learning on the bottom level, progressing to and open-minded ever-changing knowledge, and ending with the synthesis of both.
