Loop lighting. Giving the subject a shadow from above and the side will create this effect. I enjoyed learning this.

I like how backlighting is. Backlighting can be really tricky but also it can be really great. I love that it makes it more magical and illuminates the subject along the outside edges.

Butterfly lighting is really awesome too! The light is coming from above but at just the right spot to create better shadows and enhances the subject.

Rembrandt (45 degree lighting) This lighting can be very dramatic. I love when half the face is illuminated but then there is just a little light drawing attention to the other side of the face in a triangle pattern.
