I edited this picture using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. I wanted to create the illusion that this girl is being manipulated with the string by another young woman. I used both light and dark blue thread to string the body parts together to create this surreal effect.
I wanted to show power and control in this photo. I took a picture first of the subject holding his hands around an imaginary ball of power. Then I decided I wanted to sew a ball of red mass onto the image. My inspiration came from some Multimedia projects I found on the internet. Those images however had the thread making designs on portraits of human subjects. So I twisted the idea of sewing on an image and created these.

We were assigned to combine photography with another form of media. I chose to include thread to create a texture and pattern on the image (that can't necessarily be seen through the internet).
