Dark gray hex background area designed to be area for blurred and darkened screen of paused in-game action in finished project. Layered distressed-metal textures created to add depth and immersion to interface.
ION Controls Menu WIP - Don't have labels and descriptors for the button layout yet, but feel pretty great about the controller outline I designed. This portion of the menu will soon be finished.
ION HUD WIP - In-game HUD work-in-progress for USU Game Design project. I'm creating the UI, including menus and HUD. Created in Photoshop. Bright colors overlaid with scanlines effect designed to contrast effectively with distressed metal frames. Larger, legible typeface and bold, simple icons selected to facilitate quick communication of necessary in-game information without distracting from on-screen action.
ION Main Menu - Early Design - Earlier design for the WIP UI project. Kept most of the shapes and layout, but updated the textures and added another layer for increased depth.
ION In-Game Menu - Early Design - Again, kept most of the layout, typeface, etc, but drastically altered the textures to be more in keeping with the feel of the main menu of the game.
