Map view. Shows what institutions are cataloging at that given moment anywhere in the world. Map could be zoomed down to the actual institution level. Not shown is a feed of the items being entered into the database.
Language view - each bubble represented the language of an item being added to the database - live as it was added. (Unshown shot of the format view was identical to this view.)

WorldCat Live

WorldCat Live was a fun, interactive infographic project that displayed who was cataloging in the WorldCat database live. It showed institutions by country and works by language and format. Users could change between three views - map, language (bubbles) or format (bubbles). The visualization would build for as long as it was left up and running in a browser. This is no longer an active project and does not have a URL.
