"Expensive" Chair

The "Expensive Chair" is an original 1974 Herman Miller Eames molded fiberglass armchair. It has been restored and reupholstered with leather, a textile Herman Miller has yet to use on the iconic chair. The leather is printed with Wil Fry's "Expensive" print which is composed of the world's most desirable fashion brands' hang tags.

Wil and I had talked about working on a project, where we could utilize each other’s skillsets and produce something a little different to the kind of projects we normally work on.

"Eames is fitting mainly due to it’s importance in design history and the fact that it is still heavily sought after piece of furniture.” -Wil Fry

"The chair is epic and it is definitely a project that most fashion designers would never attempt." - Complex

"As much a statement art piece as it is a piece of furniture." - Hypebeast
