Less Is More
With each cast a new form is created and a new function is found. In a project titled ‘Less Is More’ I found that when working with ceramic it comes as a very organic process,
so I felt that the development of the objects should reflect that. The objects that I have created are all manipulated from three molds that vary in size, and as the molds were cast from models that where hand turned, they are all unique. Manipulation of the object out of the mold was my method of obscuring the form, while the ceramic was still moist I would take a knife and gradually carve away material and
for every piece of material that fell away meant that a new object was created.The possibilities are truly endless
