The Abaxis piccolo xpress / vetscan vs2 is a point-of-care blood chemistry analiser for use in medical and veterinary applications.
A non trained operator can obtain precision blood chemistry values from a single 100 microlitre sample in approximately 15 minutes. ( a 48 hour delay is the norm for similar result accuracy from a full blood sample provided by independant analysis services outside hospitals).

The instrument is transportable owing to its small size and integrated handle and can be run reliably from 12v car battery in the field.
