The character was drawn and scanned onto the computer. Each of the limbs were traced and colored in Photoshop. They were then imported into Flash to be animated.
Any additional editing for the animation was done back in Photoshop.
The game uses 2D tiles to create the levels.
Level designs were made using Tiled, Tiled2Unity, and Unity. This made it fast and easier to make 2D tile-based levels
The levels were based on sketches drawn by the level designer.
One mechanic in the game allowed the player to switch between sizes. Being small lets you jump higher, go through small passages, and walk across wooden bridges. However, you can't push bigger blocks or walk against wind currents.
Being large allows you to push blocks and walk against wind currents. However, due to your size, you can break through wooden boards and you don't jump as high.

Game Design - The Little Giant

I was working on a game project with a couple of other people at Michigan State University. We were given 5 weeks to work on a game based on a given theme. For this one, the theme was "growth." So, we made a 2D puzzle platformer about a giant who can switch between sizes. I was responsible for making the 2D assets for the game.
