Furniture Design

A UK-based plastics company specializing in acrylic perspex furniture manufacturing tasked me with designing a modern, minimalist chair. The chair was to be produced in-house using a high-precision CNC router, shaped with a line bender, and finished with flame polishing.

The design was optimized to fit within a 2050 x 1525mm perspex sheet size, ensuring minimal material wastage during production, twelve chairs could be made from just two sheets of perspex.

Chair was divided into two sections, these which were joined together with four stainless steel bolts, this allowed for easy disassembly and efficient stacking during transportation.

The design was cost-effective, simple to manufacture, and available in various colors to suit different interior or exterior styles.
