In April 2016, Make Life Skate Life constructed Addis Skatepark to provide the youth of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a free-of-charge, safe, and accessible place to skate. The 600 m² concrete skatepark was constructed in 3 weeks by a build team of over 60 volunteer skatepark builders from over 20 countries who worked with local youth to teach them about concrete skatepark construction. Since the park's completion, an on-site loaner skateboard program has been established, operated by Ethiopia Skate, to provide all youth with free access to skateboarding equipment.
