HarvestPort is a two year old startup based near San Francisco. They provide an online marketplace for California farmers that enables them to share the burden of the high costs of operation. Through this platform farmers can rent out their equipment to other agribusinesses after their harvest is over. This allows them to monetize their assets that sit idle, and allows other farmers the chance to utilize these assets affordably rather than bearing
the burden of purchasing expensive equipment.
