The majority of BMX riders do so without brakes, however there are times when it is beneficial to have one. Current brake systems require a setup time of approximately 10 - 15 minutes, they require tools and have many components.
Whippet is a complete BMX brake system that can be installed and removed in under 1 minute with no tools. It holds its setup tension whilst off the bike. The product also has half the components than current brake systems.
This means that riders without brakes can 'whip' the product on for riding to the skate park or other and then remove once there. Additionally it will enable these riders to ride dirt jumps / trails.
Hundreds of models and prototypes have been developed in order to reach this fully working aluminium prototype.
