Movement- The movement in this picture is shown by the water splash "frozen" in place. To edit this image, I adjusted the brightness, contrast, and the hue of the image to add a blur effect and make the splash stand out from the rest of the photo.
Balance- This photo represents balance because the two groups of the berries are on opposite sides of the photo, yet close enough to the center to keep the focus of the photo balanced. I edited the brightness, hue, and curves of this picture to keep an even amount of colors and shading throughout the picture.
Unity- This represents unity because all of the parts of the photo (the stream, the bushes, and the trees) are all equally represented in the photo as a whole. I adjusted the hue, saturation, brightness, and levels of this picture to make the parts of this image equal to each other.
Contrast- This represents contrast because of the difference in brightness and colors. The color of his clothes are much darker than the rest of the picture, creating a lot of contrast.. To edit this picture, I adjusted the brightness, contrast, and hue of it.
Pattern- The repetition of the pattern in this picture is represented by the shadows of people in a row. This is a line based pattern represented by people. The way that I edited this picture was by adjusting the contrast of the image, the brightness, and the levels in order to make the shadows stand out more than the rest of the picture.
Emphasis- The red color from the leaf stands out from the rest of the brown, dull image around it, thus creating an emphasis on the leaf. I was able to do this by editing the color of the leaf separate from the brush around it using layers, I then used hue and saturation adjustments to make it blend more.
This picture represents two principles of design as well as two elements of art. Elements- Texture (Leaves) and Shape (Trees) Principles- Unity (There is variety, but not too much) and Balance (Not just green all over)
This photo also represents two elements of art as well as two principles of design. Elements-Lines (Ladder) Shape (Logs) Principles- Balance (The photo is evenly covered) and Emphasis (The ladder stands out)
