All Good Graphic Design Is Dead... - Personal project in which I will hopefully have time to continue at some point. This one taking after more of a Bauhaus feel.
Nirvana Series - In Bloom As part of the more recent pieces in this series, I've found myself picking a color I want to use first and then a song. This one started with me thinking "blue," which turned to a deep red, which eventually turned to gray after it was all together. This might have been influenced by the original music video, which was shot in black and white.
Nirvana Series - Come As You Are - after going in about 3 different directions for this series, I wanted to put type in the forefront... and the back-front as well! I like how it turned out and the pointed font worked great for the subject.
Nirvana Series - Lithium
Nirvana Series - Breed - Probably my favorite Nirvana song from the Nevermind album, I wanted to do this justice. Since my interpretation of this song is about really liking someone and at first it being purely physical and sexy, the imagery needed to reflect that (She said).
Nirvana Series - About A Girl - With this I wanted to contrast the other two that I had been working on in the series. By contrast the lyrics are not contained within a shape, but free flowing and the title is featured at the bottom next to a silhouette blowing a kiss. If I had to guess I'll most likely re-do this one and eventually get around to liking the one I'm doing for "Lithium".
Nirvana Series - Heart Shaped Box - First design using the lyrics from Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box. The shape had to be a heart... and it had to be messy!
I put this t-shirt artwork together for my girlfriend (now wife) that chaperoned a bunch of school kids on a trip to Costa Rica. Their guides name was Jose.... hence where the basic concept of the shirt came from (Ole!)
Hockey Wallpapers - Go Pens! A variation of the Pens logo but using hockey players (forward and a goalie).

Fun

These are just some pieces of artwork that I've put together with no client in mind, just for me. I hope to do little personal projects more often, but time doesn't always permit!
