Raised Surface
WHAT?
Design and produce a ‘raised surface’. The design language of this ‘coffee table’ was inspired by Dieter Rams, an iconic 1960’s designer.
WHEN?
2013 - Second Year 3D
EXECUTION:
The table has a shelving system on the side to hold coffee table books as a functional and as an added aesthetic element. a 1:5 scale model of the raised surface also had to be made with proper materials and methods. The final prototype was made from alder wood, perspex, glass and aluminium feet.
