Mizu is a natural cooling product for food storage in the kitchen. This product aims
to solve the environmental issues associated with the modern refrigerator leading to climate change. The Mizu was inspired by lowering temperatures in a natural way by means of evaporation cooling. It is primarily made from unglazed, porous earthenware clay as well as honeycomb pads that is able to absorb water into its walls. The walls will be wet throughout the day as a solar powered water pump will be circulating the water from the water storage tank at the bottom to the top. As the warm air is drawn in through the wet walls, with the use of a small 12V fan, from the outside, the liquid change into the form of water vapour.
