Sustainable Waste Management in Wakatobi, Indonesia
Working in the organization United Cities of Local Governance in Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), I had the opportunity to spend some weeks in Wakatobi, an archipelago on the southeast of Sulawesi. My goal was to envision Wakatobi in the near future in regarding to their solid waste management. I researched about their sustainable ways both in communities and local governance and really enjoyed learning about their culture and heritage. Their motivation both local government and community is inspirational and I hope to see many changes in the near future.
