Using the calendar, Karnataka Tourism wanted to showcase the art and folk forms of the state and create top-of-mind recall. The objective was to get people to visit the major tourist attractions of the state and immerse themselves in the art and culture of Karnataka. The calendar titled ‘The Stage is Karnataka’ showcased 12 art and folk forms unique to Karnataka, of which some were unknown while some others have come to be synonymous with the state. Apart from the stunning photographs, an account of the art forms and their origin completed the calendar.
