The Philippine Popular Music Festival is a songwriting competition open to all amateur and professional composers who are Filipinos or of Filipino descent.
The contest aimed to celebrate the talent of Filipino songwriting as well as glorify the contributions of songwriters and composers to the Filipino music industry.
My team launched the first ever version of the contest via www.philpop.com.ph and through paid Youtube efforts featuring the judges and prizes. More than 3,000 original compositions worldwide were submitted to the aforementioned site in just two weeks.
