Schooner Birdhouse
"My objective is to create a dwelling that effectively addresses the human impositions on the Tree Swallow while truly manifesting the spirit of the bird. I hope to communicate a fusion between the swallows nautical lore and its mating fidelity. This induced a marriage between a structured, proportional body cradled on the back of a gestural, sail-in-the-wind front. Both are essential to the house as a whole and genuinely personify the true nature of the Tree Swallow."
