Healthy Heroes Recipe Box
This project was commissioned by the Iowa State Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. A local housing complex had built raised garden beds for its community members to grow fresh produce for their own consumption. ISU FSHN was asked to create recipes that utilize the vegetables being grown. They needed a place for the recipes to be easily accessed so I created this birdhouse style box with a single drawer pull to house the recipe cards. It's made of black locust and walnut with laser-etched graphics and the Healthy Heroes text.
