2016 - Pantheon Spinal is a startup medical company, incorporated by a spinal surgeon who had found a novel way to perform lower disc replacements. He had developed a surgery approach that was less invasive than existing techniques. The surgeon wanted to be able to sell the procedure in a more tangible way, so his thought was to create a specialized retractor for the system. He had been using generic equipment to perform the surgery before.
