DeWalt Studio Fall 2011
Tasked with designing a cordless drywall screwgun incorporating innovations in ergonomics and work flow. The gun will use new light weight batteries recently introduced by DeWalt and a brushless motor currently in development. Ethnographic/user centered research techniques were used including with multiple job site visits to receive valuable feedback directly from the users. The goal was to create a screw gun that induces the minimum amount of fatigue and strain on the user through ergonomic innovations.
