Thinking of Rio de Janeiro and based on its confusing neighbourhoods, this cargo bike was developed to substitute cars and motorcycles on deliveries of local mini markets. The main issues we found through participant observation concerned the time of delivery, health of the delivery man, avoid the gas emition of other vehicles and the amount of materials involved on the process of delivery. Therefore the tricycle was developed with a detachable shopping cart, that the costumer uses inside the market, procede it to the check out and after that the delivery man has all set to attach at the bike and lead to the costumer's delivery point. The cart will stand around 40 kg, the usual amount of groceries of a week for a family with four people, The tricycle is ultra strong and ergonomic to avoid injuries of the delivery man, as the weight supported by the cart is easy to carry.
The cart is made of recycled PET and the trycicle, of recycled aluminum.
