Through collaboration wth fellow teammates and research, within a two week window the Community Care Clinic became an award winning IDEC design. Incorporating evidence-based design tailored to the community and encouraging wellness, making the center ADA accessible, and incorporating Sustainable design along with proposed LEED Certification. The need for a clinic to provide state-of-the-art services in the areas of Prenatal, Adult Medicine, OB/GYN, and Addiction Services are dire in Newark, NJ.
The requirements for submission: Week 1 was research and analysis, Week 2 Design. Main Board requirements were: 500 word research summary, 5 Goals, Concept Statement, Plans, Sections, 3D images, Furnishings. design also had to comply with Fire, ADA and Egress guidelines.
