I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy with a group of my fellow art students for three weeks in the summer of 2013. We arrived in Rome and made our way south to Sicily, which is where most of these paintings were done.
Italy in the summer has such vivid natural color palates, it was a joy to paint these on location.
