Work Without Worry - Remote house care monitor - To care more about elderly people and children, knowing the location of them in house is very important. This product includes daily life normal slippers embedded with RFID tags to connect wirelessly to realize the location of your family members, and not bothering them at all.
Tangible Monitor - This is a product concept trying to make the accessing of daily information you need more intuitive and fun, and of course, make sense.
I use couple of symbols to represent different information sources. If you want to know about the water consumption of your living environment, just drag the water symbol into the sensing area. If you want to know about related information between two symbols, you can bring in two to see the inter-relationship of those two kinds of informations.
Smart IKEA - Shopping Support System - After the field study, I concerned about
the shopping needs in different stages in
IKEA shopping experience. I proposed the
solution of SmartIKEA.
Smart IKEA - Shopping Support System (Show Room Phase) - SmartIKEA is a shopping support system
that you can hold in your hand easily while
you are walking around the IKEA show
room without extra effort. Users can tag
what they are interested in and save in the
SmartIKEA. Also, people can try the furniture
they picked with the picture of their
house to see if they are match.
Smart IKEA - Shopping Support System (Warehouse Phase) - After the showroom stage, it comes to the
pickup stage in IKEA. In this stage, 
SmartIKEA can be plugged into the
shopping cart people just got in the pickup
area. And the system will guide you through
the projected arrows to make it easy to find
the stuff you just tagged in the system.
C|Key ( Culture Translator) - The purpose of the [c|key] is to help the user avoid embarrassment and misunderstandings, as well as giving the user confidence and create understanding. The [c|key] consists of cards, containing cultural information about a number of given situations the user might experience. On one side of the card, there is quick information and tips using illustrations and keywords. On the other side of the card, there is more elaborate information to further enlighten the user.
Ambient Breakfast Bar - A bar table that can express the weather forecast condition by changing the light color of the ring on the table. There are five color shows
different conditions. Three rings represent the weather condition separately, the morning, the afternoon and the evening. Forecast data are transferred via wireless to get from the weather company’s information server. People can eat breakfast happily and get the idea of the weather condition all day today before they going out.
iRemote, the universal remote control interface design - The problem of the universal remote nowadays is too complicated. With more functionality, there are more buttons on it.
It came out with the solution of a touch screen universal remote control to
take care of all different interfaces you need. Although this is not an innovative idea,
I worked on the more intuitive interaction by performing object oriented function
analysis. Grouping functions not just by devices, but grouping by the scenarios.
The Wall Of Your Own - People like to put their photos and favorite pictures on the wall.
The wall with this kind of stuff represents one’s personality and life. When looking at the wall, it recalls your memory.
So, I proposed a device that can keep the history of your wall. When you
put a picture or a sketch on the wall, the device will capture the image of this
picture after a period of time. Then you can remove the real picture and
the image remains. That’s a mix up with real and virtual things.
