Paralympian of the Year Centrepiece
Table centrepiece for the Australian Paralympian of the Year Award Night 2012. The Brief was to create a sculptural centrepiece and ambient light that embodied the spirit of Australia’s Paralympians and the 2012 London Paralympics.
The designs exterior shape is a reference to the ‘gherkin building’ a dominant form in the London skyline. The interior features abstract acrylic flames representing the Paralympic flame and the passion of the athletes. The Australian Paralympic Committee logo is etched into the flames.
