Miata Illustration
The Mazda Miata is a great achievement in design and engineering. It debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989, and has become the best selling sports car in the world, selling nearly 1 million units. It is also my personal favorite car, and the one I drive.
This is an exercise in capturing the beauty and simplicity of the design through an illustration using few colors and simple shapes. Below is a version for each paint color of this generation of the car, and one customized in the same way as my own car.
