EDF Project

The objective of this project was to deliver prospective life scenarios for the year 2050, which are formalised through tangible and realistic innovative products, services or systems aimed at reducing energy consumption. I decided to design a product called 'The Pebble'. The Pebble is designed to act as an indicator to a person to notify them of their high usage of energy consumption. A sensor measuring each room of the house would send information to the Pebble and depending what room the occupant is in if there is too much energy being used the Pebble will start to blink rapidly in that specific part of the house. Only if the user reduces the amount of energy being used in that room by switching off appliances and electrical products will allow the Pebble to return to its natural glowing rate.
