My Own Little Corner, 2014. The camera settings are f/160, f/4.0, and ISO IS 2500. In photoshop, I applied a shadow, enhanced the brightness on the person and adjusted the size of the person. An element of art in this photo is movement, and a principle of design is size/scale. The movement applies, because the person is sliding down the tape, like a slide. The size/scale applies, because the person is miniaturized, but is really full size just shrunken down.
My Own Little Corner, 2014. The camera settings are 1/160, f/4.0, and ISO 320. In photoshop, I cropped the image a little bit to focus more on the pretzel machine and person. I also applied a shadow and made the person small to look like they were hanging on the wire. An element of art represented in this photo is "line." There are lines both horizontal (the pretzel wires) and vertical (the outline of the machine). A principle of design in the photo is "balance." If you were to split the photo in half there would be equal weight.

Shallow Depth of Field:
The area within the depth of field appears sharp, while the areas in front of and beyond the depth of field appear blurry. In optics, particularly as it relates to film and photography, depth of field (DOF) is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image.
