Depth of Field, 2014. A young girl was once home alone and her mother forgot to blow out a candle before going out to the store. The girl was playing quietly in her room, when suddenly she smelled smoke. She opened her door and across the room from her was a blazing fire. The whole kitchen was on fire and she had no idea of what to do. They house phone was already burnt, so she couldn't call for help. She started crying and ran for the stairs on the back porch. The girl was afraid to go outside because it was pitch black, so she just sat there, away from the fire. By the time her mother got home, most of the house was burnt down except for the back steps where the girl was. Frantically, the mother ran around the house looking for her daughter and discovered her daughters body there, untouched by the flames. The girl had died from smoke inhalation. Today she is known to sit on those same steps "waiting" for her mother to come home. The camera settings are 1/125, f/4.0, and ISO 250.
