Visual Weave I - Visual Weave is a product of extensive experimentation of fusing and slumping glass and metal weaves. The experiential hands on learning experience of glass enabled me to design with an understanding of kiln formed glass mediums potential and its limitations, prior to producing a design piece.
Transient - The Transient Flat Pack workstation is a versatile design, for the retail furniture market. The workstation is designed for the transient user. The simplistic but stylish workstation has been designed for it’s user to dismantle and flat pack for transportation and for ease of construction.
Transient harmonises the technological aesthetic that surrounds our work situations, with our work furniture. This contemporary design is a light and airy design.
Visual Weave II
Visual Weave I + II - Visual Weave is a modern lounge room table set. The concept of the table was to utilise the transparency of the glass to create a three dimensional weave. The strong linear qualities of the table structure also compliments the weaved concept of the design. All aspects of the lounge room setting create a visual weave of glass and metal for the user.
S Bent - S Bend was a pedestal unit concept developed whilst working with Freiberg. The design is a stackable unit suitable for the retail furniture market. The simplicity of the design makes it inexpensive to manufacture and easy for the user to construct.
This manufacturing of pedestal unit was undertaken in a metal design unit. This experience enabled me as a designer to understand the manufacturing constraints and the design requirements in sheet metal.
